May Monthly Meeting

Carol Manning, Turtle Clan, Seneca, Haudenosaunee, started her quilting adventure when she was 10.  Her “honorary” grandmother taught her many crafts, during the dark winter evenings of western New York. She continued to explore crafting and quilting for many years.  Finally, Carol settled on quilting as her focus.   For as long as she can remember, “Treaty Cloth” was part of her life.   Carol will give a presentation on “Treaty Cloth.”   It will contain some local history, understanding the transformations of “Treaty Cloth” and her connection to being Seneca.

Carol Manning has been a member of GVQC for a number of years, volunteered on different committees and held various offices. Often recognized by the red crown she is wearing, Carol is completing her third and final year as GVQC President.
