Donna Patrick is a mixed media fiber artist with a love of texture. She enjoys the challenges of expressing herself through many different art forms, currently concentrating on felting and hand dyeing. Using "nuno" style felting, she designs and creates flowing wearable art pieces which range from elegant to funky. The serendipitous outcome is what creates the excitement and fascination for her in her work.

Donna is a retired educator, lives and creates in the Finger Lakes. She learned to sew on a treadle machine when she was five, sitting on her grandmother's lap and has been creating with fabric ever since. While pursuing her BS degree, she studied for a semester in Siena, Italy taking art history courses as well as being exposed to the culture of Tuscany. As part of her Master's program she traveled to Japan with Syracuse University, studying the crafts and fabric art of that country. Donna has always had a special love of textiles and during travels was able to appreciate the hand made aspects of ethnic fabric creations. Now she collects ethnic fabric pieces to use in designing wearable art garments.
