November Monthly Meeting

Temple B'rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY, USA

Linda Pearl

Linda Pearl has been fascinated by the art of quiltmaking since she was first introduced to it as a teenager. She make her first quilt over 25 years ago and her design aesthetic has evolved from traditional to what she describes now as contemporary - heading to modern.

Linda has been an avid collector of fabrics during this time and is now drawn into finding ways to incorporate her beautiful stash into new projects.

At quilting events Linda loves meeting quilters and vendors and believes she can learn something new every day. In 2022 she became a Certified Instructor for Sew Kind of Wonderful Quilts and loves sharing her love of curves with other quilters.

Her thought: Inspiration is everywhere - you just have to look.

Lecture: "Ten Quilters You Should Know and Why"

Linda's lecture is designed to highlight the ever evolving quilting industry picking up the timeline at the end of Y2K with broad themes in the industry today, partnerships with Public Broadcasting and the unlikely town of Hamilton, MO. We're talking about themes and the quilters who played a part in those themes.
