At the November 12, 2009 meeting a check for $2,500 was presented to Compeer, Rochester, Inc.

Compeer Inc. is an international, non-profit organization that helps adults and children overcome the devastating effects of mental illness. It provides volunteer-based programs and services which serve as a complement to therapy.

GVQC members donate materials and time to the agency's Quilt Workshop. The monetary donation is intended to be used for the Quilt Workshop activity.

Several Compeer service recipients came to the meeting. They shared their quilt projects with the club as well as their heartfelt thanks for the donation.
